The time is at hand.
Google Reader is going away on July 1, 2013.
At least that’s what “they” say.
(I’m still waiting for an answer to the burning question of just who “they” are.)
The story of Google Reader’s demise has been floating around blog land for a while now and it appears the rumors are true.
Not wanting to be left behind with no way to get my daily blog fix, I joined Bloglovin’ weeks ago.
And let me tell ya, I’m lovin’ Bloglovin‘!
The transition was easy. Importing all my favorites was as simple as a few clicks and adding new favorites is just as easy. The interface is clean, simple and very user-friendly. If I am on a mission to find new content (which happens often), searches can be done by subject or by what’s popular. One other feature that makes me all giddy inside is the ability to simplify my feed further by creating groups such as DIY, Fashion, Lifestyle, Home Decor, Daily Reads, etc. Being the organizer that I am, this makes my heart smile and my soul sing!
If you are a blogger, this all makes sense. Right?
If not, here is the scoop.
Bloggers (like me) love to have readers (like you). I (we) love comments and dialog. It is part of the reason I (we) write…to connect with others.
A few of you have messaged me wanting to know how to follow my blog. There are several ways to do so. Take your pick.
The easiest way is to enter your email address in the box under the statement “I will visit you in your inbox” then press the “Follow Me” button. This is located underneath my pic and social media icons in the upper left portion of my blog. Exactly as you would expect, my posts will be delivered directly to you via email. At that point you can choose to read, click through and comment, or delete. (Of course I hope you read and comment before you delete.)
If you are like me and read several blogs, you can sign up for a free account via Bloglovin’ and add me there. A daily email will be sent to you along with ALL your favorites. You can then click through to the posts you wish to read. If you already have a Bloglovin’ account, click on the purple Bloglovin’ icon under my picture. It is all linked up to my Bloglovin’ page. Or you can simply click HERE.
There is also the option of other RSS feed readers. None of which I know a thing about. Seriously, I’m that lame. But I’m guessing if you subscribe to another reader you will know what to do. The RSS icon is there for your benefit.
For some reason, I haven’t been bit by the tweeting bug. I see how it can be fun and useful but so far I find it overwhelming. Then again, that is how I originally felt about Facebook.
Whether you subscribe…or not…or comment…or not, I am ever so grateful you take the time to read my “stuff”.
Sending you all LuvNHugs!
