Once upon a time there was a girl who thought she was relatively smart.
Until she realized she wasn’t.
Mind you, she was a master at acquiring knowledge. She was even recognized for her better than average ability to amass information.
To many, she appeared to be super smart….maybe even intelligent.
This made the girl very happy.
It was her one, lone talent.
Then one day she had no choice but to accept the fact that she was really quite stupid.
She was doing everything the hard way.
For this girl, too much knowledge triggered paralysis.
And knowledge without action is power wasted.
This girl thought she had to do it ALL and do it ALL right.
Rather silly…don’t you think?
That old saying “Anything worth doing is worth doing well” was her Achilles heel.
One day, the girl decided to trade her immobilizing life motto for a new one.
And that is the day she truly became smart.
What is her new motto?
And I am now keeping things simple!
October is a special month for me. It is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Last year I shared stories of those affected by the “c” beast. This year, I am sharing my journey toward wellness. I would love to have you follow along and offer your insight and suggestions! For me, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is an ever evolving process. What better than a team of like minded people to help each other along the way!
Won’t you join me throughout October as I define my simple strategies for healthy living?
I am not an expert… by NO means.
But I know I AM that girl who is really, really good at gathering information.
